Chickamauga $20
Chickamauga is a brigade-level simulation of the American Civil
War battle of September 19 & 20, 1863 along Chickamauga Creek. The

Conflict Of Heroes $50
The year is 1941. Germany has defeated Poland, Denmark, Norway,
and France with ease. In the morning hours of June 22, over 3
million German soldiers attacked Soviet forces along a 1600
kilometer front heralding the beginning of Operation Barbarossa.
Complete surprise was achieved and the Germans struck deep into
Soviet territory. The Germans thought that the Soviets would fold
like a house of cards. Their officer cadre had been massacred by
Stalin, training was poor, and morale low. The Blitzkrieg catches
the Soviets by surprise and they lose over 1.75 million men in the
first two months alone.
The Germans are unstoppable, their Panzers pushing to the very
gates of Moscow. But then winter hit and the cold drained the
German’s resources, strength, and morale. The Soviets began
striking back in the dead of winter and the momentum began to
shift in their favor through the following spring. The bear had
awoken!
Awakening the Bear! - Russia 1941-42 takes you to the eastern
front during Operation Barbarossa, the German invasion of Russia.
Many consider this time period to be the birth of modern warfare
tactics that continue to be used and perfected by today's modern
armies.
Game includes:
- 5 15"x19" geomorphic mounted map boards.
- 192 1" square die cut counters.
- 4 player track sheets.
- 2 summary sheets.
- 55 cards.
- 12pp booklet featuring 10 scenarios designed for 2, 3 or 4
players. (Rules are included for solitaire play.)
- The 12pp rulebook is presented in a "programmatic" manner so
that you need read only a few pages before playing the first
scenario. You can then add more and more rules as you progress
through the rest of the scenarios.
One of the hallmarks of the Conflict of Heroes series is
the high quality of its components, particularly its counters
which are produced to a European standard.
Complete and in excellent condition. The counters are
punched.

 |
The Defense of Rorke's Drift $25
The Defense of Rorke's Drift depicts the battle made
famous by the movie Zulu. Five scenarios are included
including the solitaire "Evacuation of the Hospital" as well as
the introductory "Assault on the Hospital".
Included in the same box is the much simpler The Boer
War game. In 1899, the British were faced by a rebellion by
the Boers in what is now South Africa. Initially the war was
fought in a conventional manner, with entrenched defenders and
sieges. However, within a year, the conflict developed into a
bitter guerilla war with as many as 250,000 British troops
hard-pressed to defeat 20,000 Boers. Among the game's features are
leaders, Boer evasion & infiltration, armored trains, British
disease attrition, and Kitchener's concentration camps, scorched
earth program and pill box line.
Contents are complete and in excellent condition. Counters are
unpunched. Box is in very good condition but there is wear on the
corners and the sides of the top are slightly bowed outward. This
is the 3W version.

increase the realism and complexity.

sheets are still unpunched. There is very minor wear on the box
corners.

 |
Hitler's Counterstroke in France $15
In early August of 1944, Hitler played a desperate hand
designed to once again put the Germans on the offensive and
reclaim France. He gathered all available Panzer Divisions for an
attack which he hoped would cut the Allied position in two. The
Germans would then be able to drive the Allies into the sea.
The few American units, although caught unaware, held the
easily-defended high ground. The Americans also had more
artillery, more air support and more reinforcements. But could
they hold their positions until those reinforcements arrived?
Hitler's Counterstroke in France is a battalion-level
simulation of Operation Liege. The game features ranged artillery
fire, German command radius, Allied roadblocks, fortified
positions, Allied airstrikes, German anti-aircraft units, variable
weather and night movement rules. Rules are easy to understand,
but the game portrays an intense situation full of excitement for
both players.
Complete and in very good condition with minor wear on the box
corners. The counters have been punched.

showing the important terrain around Leningrad, and complete rules
and playing aids. Leningrad is a challenge to all gamers, veteran

 |
McPherson's Ridge $25
Two brigades of Brigadier General John Buford's First Union
Cavalry Division had been bivouacked on McPherson's Ridge,
northwest of Gettysburg, when Heth's Division of Hill's Corps
(Army of Northern Virginia) approached from Cashtown on July 1st.
Realizing that this was the first element of the entire
Confederate Army, and that the commanding heights of Cemetary
Ridge (1 1/4 miles behind him) was the best defensive terrain for
a hundred miles, Buford knew what he must do. With less than 3,000
troopers he must hold the vangard of the Confederate Army until
the Union infantry could arrive. He knew his casualties would be
heavy but he also knew there was no one else to do the job.
McPherson's Ridge is a regimental level simulation of the first
hours at Gettysburg. The Union player must hold and delay the
Confederates on a series of ridges until the First Corps can
arrive. The Confederate player must attempt to take Gettysburg and
secure the heights of Cemetary Ridge.
Complete and in very good condition. Unpunched counters. Box has heavy
staining and a bump along the top edge.

took place in Normandy after D-Day, covering the period from D + 1
(7 June) to D + 25 (20 August). Playing pieces represent the
divisions, brigades, and regiments of armor, airborne, and
infantry which participated in the campaign. Players use a two-map
hidden movement system to move their pieces across Normandy on a
map scaled at 10 kilometers per hex.
Complete and in excellent condition. Counters have been punched.

Royalists & Roundheads III $20
The popular Royalists & Roundheads system is back! This
time the game features not only four new battles from the third
English Civil War (Preston, Dunbar, Worchester and Tippermuir),
but advanced rules that can be used with any of the games in the
series. The advanced rules feature a new, interactive sequence of
play, disruption, a new melee system, split commands and cavalry
second combat options. The games can be played either with the
standard rules, or with some or all of the advanced rules.
The standard game features an innovative, easy-to-use command
system that recreates the problems of command in an elegant and
simple way. Leaders are rated for command, initiative and combat.
Weapons range from pikes, muskets and artillery to bows and
lances. Each of the four battles is complete in itself and can be
played in 1/2 to 3 hours, with the ever-present possibility of one
side or the other triggering an automatic victory.
Royalists & Roundheads III is a complete game in itself,
ownership of Royalists & Roundheads I or II is not
required.
Complete and in excellent condition. Counters are unpunched.

 |
Shogun $50
Shogun is Dirk Henn's retheming of his earlier
Wallenstein to Japan during the Sengoku period. While it is
generally considered a "Eurogame", it has definite wargame
leanings as it involves the type of direct conflict more
associated with the latter than the former. The "cube tower"
method of resolving battles may annoy more serious wargamers, but
Shogun is as concerned with how efficiently you rule your
provinces as it is about how many you conquer.
Complete and in excellent condition.

 |
Sniper $20
House-to-house fighting in World War II.
This game is a simulation of real-world events. It is played on
a map showing a typical section of an urban area, which allows
numerous different situations to be simulated. A grid of hexagons
printed over the map is used to regulate movement and position,
much as the squares on a chess board. The pieces in the game
represent individual men (and a few vehicles). The letters and
figures on the pieces indicate the men's weapon-type and his
posture (prone or erect). Each Player maneuvers his pieces on the
map to engage those of the enemy. Firing takes place when enemy
pieces are within range. Each weapon-type has a characteristic
Attack Strength, which is modified according to the firing range.
The firing Player consults a simple probability table to determine
the effectiveness of the fire. Explosives and hand-to-hand combat
may also be used. Fire and movement for both Players' pieces are
plotted and executed simultaneously. The game proceeds this way
(for a specified number of turns), as Players try to achieve the
objectives set forth in the rules. The final outcome varies from
game to game, depending upon the skill of the players. No prior
knowledge of history or military tactics is required to play the
game — just a little ingenuity and common sense.
This is the boxed Designer's Edition with mounted mapboards.
Two counters are slightly clipped and the twelve paper-thin vehicle
tiles have been mounted to thick cardboard. The box has moderate
shelf wear. The counter tray top is not included. Otherwise
complete and in good condition.

Sorcerer $20
Sorcerer is SPI's first game of magic and fantasy. The 22" x
34" map depicts a multi-coloured land of sorcery. Each one-inch
hex is coded with the color of the magic most powerful in that
location. There are seven hues of magic in all, each of which is
more powerful than the next! Sorcerers can perform many feats of
magic: conjure magical units; throw
magic bolts; teleport themselves and their armies; change the
colour of hexes; clone themselves into three sorcerers; create the
devastating Vortexes; and make themselves disappear.
Combat takes place using a unique system; the strength of units
is highly variable, depending on the colour of the unit, the
colour of the hex and the colour of the defender. There
are nine scenarios, including solitaire, multi-player and
two-player scenarios.
Components are complete and in very good condition.
- Tray cover: Good
- Tray bottom: Very good

The Thin Red Line $30
The Thin Red Line is a detailed tactical treatment of
Napoleonic warfare. Waterloo was the final and most decisive land
battle of the Napoleonic Wars, and possibly the most famous battle
of all time. Napoleonic warfare was complex in its variety, and
victory or defeat depended on the successful application of such
diverse factors as organization and command control, leadership
and training, formation and position, firepower, combined arms
tactics, luck and especially morale. These aspects of the Battle
of Waterloo are accurately modeled in this game. Can you, as the
Iron Duke of Wellington, hold the French at bay until night or the
Prussians arrive? Can you, as Napoleon, Emperor of the French,
smash the polygot Anglo-Allied army while holding the Prussians at
a distance? Can you, as Blucher, old "Vorwarts", drive forward in
time to save the day?
Every unit that participated in the historical battle is
represented, British, Hanoverian, Dutch-Belgian, Nassau,
Brunswick, King's German Legion, French, and Prussian infantry,
cavalry and artillery. The rules cover all key factors in the
battle, line, column, square and ordere-mixte formations,
skirmishers, routing and rallying, leader effects and casualties,
cavalry reaction and recall, artillery capture and recapture,
hidden units, fatigue, the elan and mobility of the French
infantry columns, and the firepower and staying power of the "thin
red line" of British infantry.
Complete and in excellent condition. The counters are
unpunched. The box top has "bubbling" where the adhesive appears
to have failed.
